About Me

Pynne Floresca, RN, BSN, IBCLC

I’ve been a Registered Nurse since 1994, and from the very beginning I knew that caring for mothers and babies was my calling. My nursing experience spans postpartum care, obstetrics-gynecology, labor and delivery, and pediatrics.

In 2003, a trusted mentor encouraged me to pursue certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), seeing the passion I had for helping families. I earned my certification in 2004 and have been dedicated to supporting mothers and babies in their feeding journeys ever since.

Over the years, I’ve worked in hospital mother-baby units, outpatient lactation clinics, pediatric practices, and even managed a team of lactation consultants. My experience includes working with a wide variety of feeding situations—such as supporting infants with Down syndrome, cleft palate, or pyloric stenosis—as well as maternal challenges like PCOS, insufficient glandular tissue, and perinatal mental health concerns. Each family I meet reminds me that breastfeeding success can look very different for everyone, and that every journey deserves compassion and individualized care.

My own path with breastfeeding wasn’t easy, and I leaned heavily on my support system to overcome challenges and reach my goals. That experience taught me the importance of both education and emotional support, and it inspires me to provide the same encouragement for the families I work with.

I believe breast milk is an incredible source of nourishment, but I also know that feeding is not “one size fits all.” My role is to help you discover what works best for you and your baby—whether that means breastfeeding, pumping, supplementing, or a combination of methods—so that feeding time becomes less stressful and more joyful.
